Master Lunsford began his martial arts training in the summer of 1961 and has been teaching since 1974. His early training included Shotokan Karate and Judo under Ichiro Nakagawa and Kyung Ho (Ken) Min, among others. Sensei Lunsford spent nine years in law enforcement and for the time served as firearms instructor for the N.E. Ga. Police Academy. Master Lunsford was inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2004 and was featured in the 1987 edition of “Who’s Who in American Martial Arts.” Master Lunsford teaches Aikido as well as several other martial arts at AKFItto Martial Arts & Fitness in Athens, GA. He is currently training under Grandmaster Neal Hummerstone out of Orange City, Florida and in addition, Master Lunsford is training under Grandmaster Larry Beard.
