Professor Alice Rogers is a veteran of almost 40 years in the martial arts and is the highest ranking woman in MAUSA Yudo. Professor Rogers has extensive training in the martial arts, having earned multiple black belts.

Professor Rogers was competing well into her 40’s often giving up more than 20 years to her opponents. Having recently celebrated her 82^nd birthday, Professor Rogers has been advised by her physician not to take falls anymore. But that doesn’t stop her training. She still gets on the mat at every opportunity and teaches martial arts every chance she gets.

When asked about her martial arts training, Professor Rogers said “Martial arts have given me years of pain and pleasure, joy and tears. I wouldn’t trade any of these experiences for anything in the world. I’m looking forward to another 80 years in the martial arts.”
