RUDIMENTS OF AGGRESSIVE YUSOOL

Reality vs. Fantasy:

As a martial artist of more than fifty years, I cannot recall ever hearing or reading where another authority of the arts hit a grand-slam home run, in describing the rudiments, philosophy and psychology in separating reality from fantasy! This application as especially related to “Yusool”, the oldest of all the arts.

My congratulations to you; Peyton Quinn of Lake George, Colorado. You have established a much needed deep inner understanding of the philosophy & psychology where street-fighting is involved. Whether persons involved in the altercation are or are not trained martial artist, you have hit the nail right on the head!

As a teacher of yusool, I find that both Peyton Quinn and myself have the same philosophy where a proper mind-set is absolutely necessary to be triumphant over a bully aggressor who is not looking for a fight, but looking for a victim!

Realities of street fighting, where compromise is not option! A proper mind-set where concentrated intention is far more important than perfected technique.

Conditioning & controlling adrenal-stress. This will determine how a person will respond to a real life threatening encounter. One must control the adrenal rush brought about by confrontation of verbal assault designed to intimidate the victim. The thug is not looking for a fight, he is looking for a victim. When we do not respond, or when we calmly look him in the eye and say: “Are you talking to me?”, the thug’s mind engages, where he will evaluate our risk potential.  His ability to attack us is thus momentarily broken.

The typical aggressor reveals his intentions body language such as shouting, finger pointing, clinched fist, shifting his body around, staring, threatening. The sooner that we can observe this, the sooner we can derail the attackers intent.

The victor of a street fight is almost always determined within the first ten seconds, and he is usually, the person who attacks first! You must attack first in an explosive manner, striking first, the pre-determined vulnerable target. The explosive attack must continue without cease, until the aggressor is unconscious or neutralized  until we can escape.

Once our heartbeat rises ten or more beats above our normal pattern, we experience an adrenal dump which begins to set us up for action. Our blood flows faster to our muscles, leaving less to feed our brain. Thus we must control our knee-jerk reactions and maintain control of our thought process. If you can keep your mind calm, you can move more quickly and more fluidly.  Avoid using force against force. If attacked first, never move backward in the line of the attack,.. move to the side.

To help you “Yankees” better understand “Southern English”, try this:
“If you mess with me, imgonnahurtcha!”

ALWAYS TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE ENEMY.
ATTACK CONTINUOUSLY.  ONCE YOU HAVE STRUCK YOUR ENEMY, CONTINUE THE ATTACK UNTIL THE ENEMY IS NEUTRALIZED.
REMEMBER, A PREDITOR IS LOOKING FOR A VICTIM,  NOT A FIGHT!  YOU MUST ALWAYS DEMONSTRATE CONFIDENCE, AND A SELF-ASSURED DEMEANOR, EVEN IF YOU ARE AFRAID!
Feeling fear is one thing,  showing fear is another.

Never allow the aggressor to put his hands on you, under any circumstance!

Remember, once you realize that compromise is not an option, attack the aggressor first!  Attack with furor but keep your mind/brain in control of your actions. Attack with non-stop aggression and  killer-instinct!

I have gone so far in demonstrating my confidence to an aggressor, that I would say to him:  “GOD HAS NOT PUT THE BREATH IN A MAN’S BODY YET, WHO CAN WHIP MY ASS!”

You have to believe this and convince the aggressor that you believe this!
